What a Team!

I see it every day, but when someone else sees it too, it's special.  Here's a note that was left in my office over the weekend:

The last two days IRC teamwork has been in full swing--proving and showing that everyone on the whole team is important.

Yesterday and the day before, therapists helped with readying patients for breakfact, Joyce (the unit secretary) came in early to do vital signs, RNs helped patients to the bathroom and get patients to and from the dining room, plus doing their demanding RN duties.

When all hell was breaking loose as the new admit came at 12:30 and many needs everywhere, Corby(our Social Worker) even stepped forward asking "What can I do?"

With the acuity, the number of patients, and needs of the patients, we were short-staffed in CNAs but God enabled us to survive. A couple [staff] had to miss breaks and stay late, but we got the job done!
